Everything you need to know to start your semester at Universidad Panamericana — from your home university’s nomination to your first day on campus. Two clear phases, one transformative experience.

then it's your turn to complete your personal application.

Nomination Process

Before you can apply, your home university's international coordinator must officially nominate you to Universidad Panamericana. This is the starting gate — nothing moves forward without it.

Important: The nomination must be submitted by your home university's international coordinator — not by the student. Once nominated, you'll receive an email with instructions to start your personal application.

After receiving all essential documentation, UP will share admission documents needed for visa application with your home university.

📝 Information Required for Nomination

The coordinator must provide the following data for each student being nominated:
Full name
Date of birth
Email address
Nationality
Desired campus
Level of studies
Field of studies
Faculty of interest
Copy of valid passport
Semesters at home university
Credits needed per semester at UP
Duration (1 semester or full year)
Spanish proficiency level
English proficiency level

Application Process

Once your university nominates you, UP will send you an email with access to the online application platform. It's your turn — gather the documents below and submit your application before the deadline.

Students must submit the application themselves. Your coordinator cannot do this step for you. Make sure to gather all documents before the deadline.

* If taking courses in both languages, proof of proficiency in both is required.
* Level must be certified by your Language Department or professor.
* Test equivalences are also accepted.

✅ Application Document Checklist

Prepare and upload all of the following before submitting:
  • Signed rights and responsibility letter. Download →
  • Comprehensive privacy notice. Download →
  • Reference letter from your home university, addressed to the Incoming Coordinator. See example →
  • Copy of the main page of your passport
  • Autobiography letter. See guideline →
  • Digital photograph — color, taken within the last 6 months, full-face view directly facing the camera
  • International health insurance — check requirements here
  • Copy of your Mexican visa once granted (if applicable)
    B2 Spanish proficiency certificate (if attending Spanish-taught classes)
    B2 English proficiency certificate (if attending English-taught classes)
