Are there any language requirements to study at UP?
If Spanish is not your first language and you intend to attend Spanish-taught classes, you must hold at least a B2 level of Spanish (CEFR). The Language Department or your Spanish professor must certify your Spanish level.

APPLICATION AND ADMISSION
What are the admission requirements for exchange students?
In order to apply for an exchange semester, you need to be properly nominated by your home university and send the following information:
- Signed rights and responsibility letter
- Comprehensive privacy notice
- Reference letter issued by your home university. Addressed to the Incoming Coordinator. You can see an example here
- Copy of the main page of your passport.
- An autobiography letter. Here's a guideline you can follow.
- Digital photograph: In color, taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance, taken in full-face view directly facing the camera
- International health insurance. To check the requirements please go to insurance-information
- Copy of your visa once it's granted by the Mexican consulate (if applicable)
- Language proficiency proof.

No. UP offers a «Housing» section with information about accommodation options close to campus.

We offer options of shared apartments, and home stays.
What is the estimated cost of living in each city (Aguascalientes, Guadalajara, Mexico City)?
Are there any student clubs that I can join?
You can join all of the Arts and culture clubs and workshops and the sports teams. With no cost.
What kind of support services are available for international students?
We have health services in campus for all of our students. Also, you can access mental health services and academic support for all of our students as well.

What kind of support and orientation services does the International Office provide upon arrival?
The orientation kicks off with a welcome breakfast and a group photograph. There is an orientation session that covers information about the university, its platforms, services, and migration. Students are given a campus tour and assistance with getting their UP Card, including some social activities.
Students have the support in anything they need during the entire time of the coordinator of each campus.
